How this site was tested, with the results.

This site aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. It is a sample project and the restaurant is fictional, but the tests below were run on this site.

Test results, November 1, 2026

Check Result

axe-core on the catering form with errors showing, and after a successful demo submit 0 violations at 320, 375 and 1280 pixels wide
Lighthouse on a phone profile (home, menu, about, catering, contact) Performance 100, accessibility 100, best practices 100 on every page
Reflow at 320, 375 and 1280 pixels wide No horizontal scrolling on the pages tested
Open or closed status Checked at five different times, including a closed day and after closing time

The catering form

Every field has a visible label, and required fields are marked in the label text. Fields use the correct autocomplete hints for name, phone and email. If something is missing or wrong, a list of problems appears at the top and keyboard focus moves to it. Each item in the list jumps to its field, and each field shows its own message. Nothing depends on color alone. On this sample site the form sends nothing anywhere.

Color and dark mode

The site follows your device’s light or dark setting. Text, buttons and links were checked by axe in both modes. Dietary tags use letters with a key, not color alone.

Images

The dish and About page pictures have text descriptions that begin “AI-generated image”. They were generated with AI in Figma for this sample and look like photos, but they are not photos of real food, people or places. The sample notice at the top of every page says so.

Not yet tested

  • Manual screen reader testing (VoiceOver, NVDA), including the form’s error list.
  • A full manual keyboard walk-through on a real phone and on desktop.
  • Testing on real phones, in a real parking lot.
  • Lighthouse “SEO” is lower than 100 because the site is deliberately marked noindex so search engines skip this sample.

Tools: axe-core, Lighthouse 12 and Google Chrome.
